Remembering.

Realizing I’d hit the 100 post marker prompted me to go back to the beginning and start reading forward. I think it’s been good for me. I’m doing the same with other places I write – looking back, reading forward, coming up to date and taking inventory of all the last three, six, twelve months has taught me and given me. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, and the next day, and next week, and next month. You know what I’m really looking forward to? My birthday. It’s weird, because the last two have sucked out loud, so I expected I’d feel dread as it approaches. But I think it’s gonna be a trend-breaker. Don’t know why, just a gut feeling, I guess.

Anyway, I’m off to play Mario with Joshua, as he doesn’t often ask me to play but he did tonight; he’s going to shoot a walk-through – a particular kind, called a “play-through,” which basically just means I play like I normally would and let him do the talking. I can get down with that. I also have a new writing assignment for this week, a cover letter for a kick-ass woman I know from the bay area; coffee talk with Melissa’s-mom-Chris (that’s always how I think of her) tomorrow after work, and meetings and top secret shipments and a sister bonding weekend coming up. Life is not bad.
